Sponsorfy Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as local storage. In this policy “cookies” covers all of them.

We use strictly necessary cookies to make the site work, keep it secure, and remember your cookie choices. We also use PostHog and Google Analytics for optional, consent-based website analytics and error reporting.

Strictly necessary cookies are set automatically because the site cannot function without them. PostHog and Google Analytics do not load or store analytics data unless you select Accept. We do not currently use marketing cookies, advertising cookies, Google Signals, or session replay.

• Cookie preference (set by Sponsorfy): stores your cookie choices — 12 months
• Hosting and security (set by our hosting provider): serves the site securely and protects it against malicious traffic — session
• PostHog analytics storage (set by Sponsorfy through PostHog): after you Accept, stores an anonymous identifier in browser local storage so we can understand page visits, feature use and errors. That identifier remains until you select Reject or clear site data. Analytics data retained on PostHog's servers is kept for up to 12 months
• Google Analytics cookies (set by Google after you Accept): may include _ga and a measurement-specific _ga_<container> cookie so we can distinguish visits and measure page use. Typical lifetime is up to 2 years, or until you select Reject or clear site data. See Google's cookie documentation: policies.google.com/technologies/cookies

Where our platform is in use behind a login, additional strictly necessary cookies support sign-in, session security and the payment flow. Those are described to account holders within the platform.

Where a club displays Sponsorfy listings on its own website using our embed, we may set strictly necessary cookies to make the embed work and to attribute enquiries to the correct club. Any non-essential cookies within the embed are set only where consent has been obtained, either through the club's own cookie banner or through ours.

Change your mind. Use the “Cookie settings” link in the footer at any time. Selecting Reject stops PostHog and Google Analytics, removes PostHog analytics storage, and clears Google Analytics cookies on this site as far as the browser allows. Your choice is remembered for 12 months.

Browser controls. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of the site working.

Do Not Track. Browsers vary in how they signal this and there is no agreed standard, so we do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.

We use PostHog to provide website analytics and error reporting after consent. The data is sent to PostHog's EU service. PostHog's privacy policy applies: posthog.com/privacy.

We use Google Analytics 4 for consent-based website analytics after Accept. It may set the cookies described above. We do not use it on this site for marketing cookies, Google Signals, Ads, or cross-site advertising. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy.

Where payments are taken through the platform, they are processed by Stripe, who may set their own cookies for fraud prevention as a separate controller. Stripe's privacy policy applies: stripe.com/privacy.

We may update this policy as the site changes. Check the date at the top.
